DUBAI: The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has officially revealed its new corporate identity under the slogan ‘Returning to the Beginnings with New Horizons’.

This strategic transformation signals a new chapter in DCAA’s journey, aligning with Dubai’s vision to remain a global civil aviation leader. The refreshed identity reflects the Authority’s deep heritage, while reinforcing its aspirations for innovation and institutional excellence.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of DCAA, said the launch “marks the beginning of a new phase in our journey,” enhancing Dubai’s global aviation presence and ambition. The updated identity draws upon the organisation’s roots, dating back to the 1970s, and carries forward a sense of history integrated with modern design elements.

Visual legacy

A standout feature of the rebrand is the custom typographic logo rendered in traditional script, inspired by the original nameplate of the Civil Aviation Department. This design bridges the Authority’s historical roots with today’s advanced visual communication standards. The identity also includes a cohesive colour scheme, typography, patterns, and symbols tailored for both digital platforms and official publications.

Institutional excellence

Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of DCAA, emphasised that the transformation reflects the Authority’s commitment to institutional excellence and sustainable innovation. “We aim to build a work environment grounded in excellence while honouring our legacy,” he said.

The new identity is designed to ensure visual consistency across all communication platforms.
